Cristabel Clack, a worship leader and co-pastor of Living Waters Community Church in San Antonio, TX, and is a favorite singer of mine! Love her sound and heart. She actually competed on American Idol in 2013 and got pretty far in the competition. She just released a single called, “POUR IT OUT” which is available on Amazon, iTunes, and Google Play.
Below is one of her first songs that I heard, which is actually a cover song by Kari Jobe, called, “No Sweeter Name,” which just happens to be one of my favorite songs.
Part of the hook says,
You are the life
to my heart and my soul
You are the light
to the darkness a- round me
You are the hope
to the hopeless and broken
I pray this uplifts someone today!
Here is my son singing the same song when he was much younger. I love his heart, too! (Smile.)
There is no sweeter name than the name of Jesus!
Even though I hear no one watches American Idol since Simon has left the show (is that true?), I watched the show (when I would remember) in 2013, specifically to root for Cristabel. Here is her audition on American Idol in 2013. Her story of what led her to audition for the show is moving… she almost did not try out!
It is never too late to follow your dreams and share your passion with others. Making the world a better place starts with each of us. As Dr. Tony Evans says in his book “The Kingdom Agenda” (and oldie but goodie must-read),
“If we want a better world, composed of better … by better neighborhoods, illuminated by better churches, made up of better families, we … It all starts with personal responsibility – living all of life under God.”
Have a blessed day everyone.
